Plant Terminal exists because most writing about medicinal plants falls into one of two traps: breathless hype that promises a herb will cure everything, or dry dismissal that ignores thousands of years of practical use. We aim for the useful middle.

How each guide is written

Every plant gets the same treatment:

  • What it is — the plant, its history, and the compounds that drive its effects.
  • Benefits & uses — with honest framing: where human research is solid we say so, where a use is traditional or uncertain we say that too.
  • How to use it — teas, tinctures, kitchen technique and typical amounts, written so you can act on them.
  • Precautions — every plant, every time. Interactions, allergies, and who should avoid it.

What we are not

We are not doctors, and this site is not medical advice. Plants are pharmacologically active — that's the whole point — which means they can interact with medications and health conditions. Talk to a qualified professional before treating any condition, and especially before giving remedies to children or using herbs during pregnancy.
